Professional Accreditation Registration

Membership of the Family Business Institute is restricted to individuals who undertake our Professional Accreditation Program.  To maintain exclusivity, maximise referrals during and after accreditation, and to ensure the highest possible levels of ongoing support, we will limit membership to 100 advisers in Australia and 25 in New Zealand.

On satisfactory completion of training Members will be accredited by FBI as “Family Business Solutionists” to differentiate them from other advisers in the market.

Year 1 subscriptions cover:  induction into the Institute; 12 days of intensive training;  access to all FBI materials and support systems;  personal marketing through your individual Adviser Profile Page;  participation in Network Meetings.

Subsequent year subscriptions cover:  continuing accreditation, personal mentoring support and marketing;  2 days of CPD;  participation in Network Meetings.

Membership Investment (all prices +GST)

2017 Patron’s Program – commencing September 2017 (3 year commitment)

$5,000 pa x 3 years, or $500 pm x 36 months.

2018 Accreditation Program (3 year commitment)

Year 1:  $10,000 upfront, or $1,000 x 12 months;  Years 2 and 3:  $5,000 pa x 2 years or $500 pm x 24 months.

I apply to become a Member of FBI.  I understand that membership requires that I  accept specific obligations and commitments between myself, FBI and the FBI adviser community, as specified in FBI’s Code of Ethics and Professional Practice. 

I confirm that I understand and accept those obligations and commitments.

I also understand that acceptance into FBI is subject to satisfactory outcomes of:

  • An “Adviser Suitability Assessment” (basic attitudes and emotional intelligence).
  • Face-to-face interview with a Faculty member.
  • Reference checks – professional.
  • Psychometric profiling to assess my personal and professional behavioural style.
