Family Business Adviser Coaching and Mentoring

A major part of our core value proposition lies in the level of active, individual support we provide to our advisers, on their request. Family business adviser coaching and mentoring is available during the accreditation process, where each adviser will undergo at least 18 months of supervised practice with an assigned mentor. The mentor will both aid self-reflection through the mentoring process and provide personal and professional coaching to develop specific advisory and personal skills.

In addition to this structured form of mentoring and coaching, we encourage informal mentoring, on a private and confidential basis, through the networking process.  Networking will continually bring like-minded people together over their common interests in family business advisory work and supportive professional relationships tend to flourish in these conditions.

On joining FBI every adviser is invited to undertake a personal psychological assessment to identify their professional strengths and weaknesses as an adviser working in the family business space.  The cost is included in your subscription.

From these assessments we can provide personalised professional development plans (on request).  This is also free, unless it turns into a substantial exercise, in which case we’ll talk about it.
